For my adventure I chose a boat that is up to the challenge. A boat that can take me in safe and comfort to the remote destinations I imagine to visit. A boat capable of sailing in all conditions, both in light winds and in the Roaring 40's.
My choice is the Outremer 55, a boat considered among the fastest and safest catamaran ever built.

She has 4 cabins, each complimented with a private bath and shower, a large living room with kitchen, dining and chart table.
At the same level we find the cockpit, equipped with a large table comfortably accommodating 8 guests and two helms stations.
At the stern, with access from the deck, we find on the starboard side a  room dedicated to  the diving equipment and on port side a workshop.
The Cat is  equipped with state of the art electronics, including a satellite phone that allows our guests to stay in touch with home even in the most remote places on the planet.
Energy is provided by solar panels and by a modern wind generator while 220 volts is assured by a 8.5 KW generator.
Daily production of water is ensured by a 160 l/h water maker.
Dive excursions and visits ashore are supported by a 3.5 meter dinghy pushed by a 30 hp Honda 4-stroke Engine.
 
Sloop rigged with a sail area of ​​150 square meters, she is capable of daily averages over 300 miles, a real sail machine.
The sail management is entrusted to 9 winches, out of which two are electric.
Two 56-hp Yanmar diesel engines complete the outfit.
All equipment on board have been designed having this in mind. So while not giving up the comfort, all attention has been directed to keep down the boat's displacement in favor of performance and therefore safety.
